BALANCE
Human Challenge

We humans are able to “bring heaven to earth.” It is meant to be the most difficult task we can ever undertake. Uncovering our seemingly solid material world & our own equally seeming solid bodily materiality to find our spiritual nature is our “hero’s journey.”
In this painting I’ve used the cross to depict our essential energetic basis on the vertical line & our task of balancing material duality on the horizontal line. Learning to discern duality, that is, to grasp its nature, is our first difficult task. To go beyond immersion in either the “horror” or the “pleasure” and see the phenomenon as a reflection. What is our “outer world” reflecting to us about ourselves?
Our seeming constant view of separation keeps us from understanding that nothing can be “out there” unless it exists “in here” first. We have yet to grasp that we cannot perceive anything “out there” unless it exists first within our consciousness, “in here.” Each of us is the creator of the “film” that runs through our “projector” onto the “screen” that appears “out there.”
Our consciousness paired with our spiritual nature creates our world. We do this collectively when our projections align, such as when a group of us shares similar views about external events. Experiments in which a group clearly focuses on peace in a coherent, consistent manner show that the group can often achieve measurable “peaceful” outcomes in a specified area of focus.
Learning to create heart-brain coherence is becoming a vital necessity for maintaining personal health. Rather than leaving the brain to rattle on in its endless default loop people are learning to quiet the chatter, open the heart with feelings of love & allow the syncing of the two. This, in itself creates balance. Balance for the body & also balance for our view of the “outside world.”
When we truly grasp that we are not “bystanders” in our world but that our thoughts & feelings truly matter we’ll be on our way to creating a world most of us desire. We’ll understand that what we are projecting does more to create what we want than formation of committees or hands-on projects. The key is coherence within the individual & within the group. Once that is achieved, inspiration toward next steps to take will naturally arise.
We can, indeed, bring heaven to earth. We have all the “equipment.” We simply need to learn how to operate our equipment for our maximum benefit. Take heart & know that an increasing ratio of people are learning this. You can choose to do this, too.
